Aconcagua Climbing Adventure
Join The Explorer’s Passage in climbing Aconcagua, one of the Seven Summits. Mt. Aconcagua is the highest peak in the Western and Southern Hemispheres and the tallest mountain outside of Asia. Climbing Aconcagua is a formidable challenge and the summit stands at 6,962 meters (22,841 ft). Formerly an ancient stratovolcano, Aconcagua is located in the Principal Cordillera of the Andes, in Argentina (on the border with Chile).
The first recorded Aconcagua summit attempt was made in 1883, but it would take many explorers making daring attempts over 14 years before Swiss climber Mathias Zurbriggen stood at the summit in 1897. You are invited to climb Aconcagua, which is arguably the largest non-technical mountain in the world!
